Well the end of 2007 is closely approaching, and it's been a year of ups and downs.

On the down side a valued customer has left, sold up his business and bought another. The people who bought over his business seemed to be switched on to IT and the web, but didn't want to but the site or the name, the result is that a domain name is now has a holding page redirecting to his new nusiness website and nothing else, domain name value dropping, and the new site is not great, not to the ahb Solutions standard. Quoted  competitively for a few jobs, nothing coming in though.

SO to a positive note about the ahb Solutions site Alexa rank has increased, sitting at just above the 300000 mark just now but droppping slowly (but not too much, and Alexa rank isn't worth much anyway). Google PR saw the year start at 2, increase to 4 and back to 3 again, predictions are that this will rise to 4 again. The traffic has increased dramatically, last December was about 50 hits per day, and that was on the increase, peaked in the summer at about 500 hits per day, now settled down about 300 hits per day. Looking across the major search engines is showing that there are almost 200 pages registered. Search engine activity has been on the increase and the number of backlinks is now over 11000 (according to Yahoo, Google still doesn't meet the 40 yet).

The ahb Solutions site has undergone a major redevelopment, continues to have areas added, and of course this blog was started on 1 January 2007. All in all I suppose a reasonable year.

Report Card for the year reads - reasonable start, must actively look for more work, grade C.
