Catching up with some of the technology news I came across a couple of articles in the December 2007b edition of PC Pro, both with Microsoft involved.

 

It would appear that Microsoft has climbed down over Vista. Microsoft had already started pushing PC manufacturers down the Vista route of oem installed software. I can’t recall anything like this happening before, but Microsoft are reported to be offering downgrade disks to PC manufacturers in order that they can continue supplying Windows XP. Google recently has dominated the Online Office suite, but IBM, Microsoft, and Adobe have all now joined in. Microsoft and IBM had been widely predicted to produce online office sauites, but Adobe was the surprise.
